The 2009 AA Newmarket Hawks participated in the Aurora Father’s Day Tournament with amazing results.
The 2009 AA Newmarket Hawks participated in the Aurora Father’s Day Tournament with amazing results. After going 2-1 in the round robin, the boys came up against 2 very strong teams on the Sunday, Stoufville and Ajax.
The Hawks came out victorious both games and headed to the finals against Pickering. The game was back and forth heading into the bottom of the 7th tied at 5 with Pickering walking it off for the win. Not the results we were hoping for, but their parents and coaches could not be prouder. To compete against 3 good baseball teams is one thing, to play those 3 games in unbearable heat, keeping their heads up and playing with heart shows how determined this team was to win together.
Join us in congratulating our Silver Medal winning Hawks – Parker, Carter, Ryerson, Logan, Will, Tanner, Logan, Reid, Colton, Andrew, Drew and Ashton.
