Batter up! Let’s play ball! The Town of Newmarket has partnered with the Newmarket Baseball Association to hit the Ray Twinney diamonds to host the NBA Baseball Summer Academy with drills, tutorials, and games led by Baseball Canada NCCP-certified coaches that focus on fun, fundamentals, and skill development. Open to all players in the Rookie through to Minor Peewee age groups (born 2003-2007), whether they are active players in the Newmarket Baseball Association or not, and whether they are at the house league, select, or rep level – or even new to the game! Campers in this 4-day camp will be organized according to playing ability and age. Please note camp will not run Wednesday, July 1 due to Canada Day. Extended Care is available at the Ray Twinney Recreation Complex.
Dates: June 29-July 3, 2015 (except July 1)
Location: Ray Twinney Diamonds (behind Ray Twinney Community Centre)
Time: 9:00-4:00 each day (for an extra fee extended care available at the Ray Twinney Community Centre led by Town staff)
Instructor/Student Ratio: 3:1 (five adult NCCP-certified coaches and eight student assistants; maximum of 40 campers)
Fees: $180 for Newmarket residents; $210 for non-residents
