2024 Rep/Select Coaches Needed! Apply by August 17th

Instructions and Notes
 

1. Please download and complete the application in its entirety and e-mail to Jeff Sleep at vprep@newmarketbaseball.com no later than midnight on Thursday August 17th.   Applicants must not be under suspension from any youth sports or children’s organization.  

2. All managers should be working, or will need to work towards, and must complete their National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) requirements as specified on the Baseball Ontario website (https://digitalshift-assets.sfo2.cdn.digitaloceanspaces.com/pw/94f886b6-13b9-44d6-96bf-8dea6c2d577e/f-ce4c2a13-eb42-4d23-ad59-ae8462918841/2023%20Approved%20Coach%20Certification%20Requirements.pdf).

3. Applicants may apply for one team only and successful applicants will be awarded one team only.

4. The NBA executive Management Committee (EMC) has the right to deny any application

5. Those selected for interviews will be interviewed by the NBA Manager Selection Committee after August 17th.  All manager selections for Rep/Select teams must be approved by the NBA Manager Selection Committee.  Interviews will be held at the Magna Center the week of August 21 - August 25.

6. In the interest of safety for our players and their families, all applicants shall have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) conducted by York Region Police Services or provide proof of application for a VSC before the coach interview.  If you have submitted a VSC to Newmarket Baseball Association after September 1, 2021 your VSC is valid for the 2024 season.   If your VSC is dated prior to this date you must apply for a new VSC.  Applicants are able to download a volunteer letter on our website under the “Coach” tab.   If an applicant lives outside of York Region the VSC shall be conducted by the local police services.  

7. Applicants that are returning coaches will be required to provide a preliminary budget for the 2024 season.  New applicants are not required to provide this but can choose to do so.
