Minor Bantam AAA Hawks win YSBA's OBA Qualifier

The Minor Bantam AAA Hawks, sponsored by Royal Containers, will represent the YSBA at the OBAs after winning all three of its games at their Qualifier
YSBA teams in most divisions face this challenge: the season is on the line at the OBA Qualifying Tournament.
After a successful regular season - currently in first place in the YSBA-TBA-EOBA loop with an 18-3-2 record and some strong tournament finishes (one championship and two finalists) - the Minor Bantam AAA Hawks, sponsored by Royal Containers, did want their season to end just yet.
YSBA's six Minor Bantam AAA teams (Newmarket, Markham, Barrie, Vaughan, Aurora, Richmond Hill) were playing on Aug. 6-7 for two spots to represent the association at the OBAs on Labour Day weekend.
Due to Friday rain, the Hawks were forced to play three games on Saturday. After a close opening win against Richmond Hill, the Hawks found their groove and comfortably defeated Aurora and then Barrie behind strong pitching, excellent pitching, and timely hitting. The Hawks will now head to the OBAs as "YSBA #1."
