9U House League Select Team Information and Tryout Date

We're thrilled to announce a fantastic new opportunity for the 2024 season: the 9U House League Select team! This program offers additional competitive play, providing your child with an enriching baseball experience. This is the perfect fit for those trying out for Rep teams this coming fall, or for the kid that can't get enough baseball!

Here's what you need to know:

The 9U House League Select program will focus on fun, teamwork, and skill development, introducing players to a slightly more competitive level of baseball. Players must continue playing with their regular 9U House League teams throughout the season. The Select team, operating on weekends from early May to late July (excluding long weekends), promises an exciting journey for all participants.

Save the date: Tryouts are set for Saturday, May 4th, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Fairgrounds Diamonds. In case of inclement weather, we have an indoor venue reserved as a backup. To participate, there's a $30 tryout fee, and pre-registration is required.

Here's a glimpse at what the season holds:

Tournaments: Our team will compete in three 2024 Select tournaments:

• Bradford, June 14-16
• Guelph, July 13-14 (note: accommodations paid individually)
• West Hill (Scarborough), July 19-21

Practices: Mandatory Friday evening practices are scheduled throughout May, June, and July to strengthen team cohesion and skills. Dates: May 10, 24, 31, June 7, 21, July 5, and 26.

Commitment: We require full commitment from players and families, ensuring attendance at practices and tournaments. Long weekends are excluded from scheduling. Players must also continue to play on their House League teams.

Player Fees: Estimated at $450 - $600 per player, covering tournament fees, uniforms, practice time, and team supplies. Payment is due within 48 hours of team selection.
