There is a new process that each team must follow if planning to attend a tournament out of province.  There are two parts to this process.  

 

Step 1: Getting approval from Newmarket Baseball, and 

Step 2: if needed requesting an insurance certificate for LIABILITY ONLY

 

Newmarket Baseball Association will not deny any request as long as the following conditions are met:

1.  The Travel Request Form has been completed and sent to admin@newmarketbaseball.com

2.  The team has purchased additional team insurance and forwarded a copy of the certificate along with the form above to admin@newmarketbaseball.com.

OBA has provided us the name of their insurance provider who can assist with purchasing team insurance through AJ Gallagher - Please contact Garrett Neiles at Garrett_Neiles@ajg.com.  You may choose another insurance company but be sure you are purchasing insurance with SPORT ACCIDENT COVERAGE.  

 

Most tournaments will require an Insurance Certificate from the OBA insurance provider.  There is no additional cost to request this certificate so I suggest if you are planning travel outside of Ontario that you request this now. If you require an Insurance Certificate, please check the box on the Travel Request Form and a certificate will be requested for you.  You are no longer permitted to request insurance certificates directly.
